Your minor project
4 - Creative Storytelling Best Practices & Minor Project
It's time to test yourself and see how you're taking in the lessons from this course.
For your minor project you'll have to do:
- A 1000-word (+/- 50 words) short story based on a true event from your childhood
- It must contain three stages of the Hero's Journey
- A gripping beginning and a powerful ending
- One well-rounded character, and one flat character to help move the plot
- Include at least five clear style and language devices from the ones discussed in module two
Submit this short story on a Google Doc (set as "Anyone can comment") to the Slack Community. Please, highlight the parts you think are addressing this brief.
A note on word count: Word counts are there for a reason, and it's important to know how to work with them. That's why you can only submit a story that's 950 or 1050 words. No longer, or shorter projects will be accepted.
