What is a TL;DR?
10 - TL;DRs
What does TL;DR mean?
- TL;DR is an abbreviation that stands for “too long; didn’t read”.
What is it?
- It's essentially a summary of your article for those readers who don't read the full article.
Why do we use it?
- Using a TL;DR is a great way of improving readability of your blog posts. In addition to writing easy-to-read copy with smaller paragraphs, and plenty of white space, a summary at the top encourages readers.
- We live in a fast-paced world, readers want to determine quickly whether an article is worth their time.
- It may seem counterintuitive, but using TL;DR’s can lead to increased engagement from the right audiences, boosting SEO ranking.
